We're thrilled to be actively seeking new clients...

... in various age ranges and genres. Please note: at this time we do not represent picture books.

We are looking for:

• brilliant, funny, original middle grade and young adult fiction, both literary and commercial
• witty women's fiction
• and pop-culture narrative nonfiction.

Quirky is good. Some of our favorite authors (other than our own clients, of course) include Bill Bryson, Gideon Defoe, Holly Black, Jasper Fforde, Jennifer Crusie, Jennifer Weiner, Marian Keyes, Meg Cabot, Neil Gaiman, Nora Roberts, Sophie Kinsella, Steven Brust, Tamora Pierce, Terry Pratchett, Tony Hawks, William Goldman, and Joss Whedon. (Yes, I know he hasn't written a novel yet, but I'm patient!)

To submit to kt literary, please with the first three pages of your manuscript in the body of the letter. Queries should not contain attachments. Attachments will not be read, and queries containing attachments may be deleted. We aim to reply to all queries within two weeks of receipt.

If we like your query, we'll ask for the first five chapters and a complete synopsis. For our purposes, the synopsis should include the full plot of the book including the conclusion. Don't tease us. Thanks!
